Check mechanical compatibility before installation
The 5/4″ thread designation alone does not guarantee that the guard will fit every heater and tank. Check the connector design, heater length, available space and mounting method.
Install with the power disconnected and the heater cold. Tighten components carefully, then verify that the guard is stable and does not create unwanted pressure on the heater or wires.

Important before installation and start-up
Disconnect the device from power and wait until the heater is completely cold. Check the G 1 1/4 thread and actual installation dimensions. The guard is an auxiliary component and does not replace electrical, thermal or mechanical safety devices.
